The proposed project deals with the characterization of fuel break up in the ECN Spray configuration using DNS. The ECN Spray G test case features an 8-hole gasoline spray injection system with well-defined operating conditions that correspond to a non-reacting early injection case for spray-guided gasoline injection. Thereby, liquid iso-octane (T=353K, pinj =20MPa)injected into air (T=333K, p∞ =100kPa) using an injection systems by Delphi.
