This project detects and analyzes heavy precipitation events (single convective events and intensive precipitation periods) and related physical processes relevant for their formation and development, in particular land-atmosphere (L-A) feedback. The projects's objectives will be addressed analyzing the 3-hourly data from the available EURO-CORDEX and ReKliEs-De Ensemble members and identifying episodes with heavy precipitation e events in the past and future. Four of the episodes will be selected for downscaling WRFCLIM EURO-CORDEX ensemble members with WRF on 3 km resolution for Europe.
