Computing time for the high performance compute systems installed at HLRS of the University of Stuttgart In contrast to previous compute time proposals, only two subprojects are described in this proposal to provide more details of each subproject on the limited number of pages. The first subproject investigates the wheel space sealing of axial-flow turbines using a newly developed zonal RANS/LES method for turbine flows. The second subproject proposes a numerical analysis of the aeroacoustic noise generated by the propeller slipstream interacting with the downstream located airfoil in a distributed propulsion system.
