In this project we will explore the dynamical evolution of the merger and post-merger of binary systems, where one of the initial components is a black hole, and the final state in all cases is a black hole with an accretion disk, we will study of the black hole spin-up in the merger of a black hole-neutron star system, as well as the investigation of the universal behavior of the tidal disruption radius as a function of the mass ratio of the system and the equation of state describing nuclear matter at the high densities realized in neutron stars. We will study a tori bound to black holes in order to understand the dynamical phenomenology of the plasma near the black hole and the instabilities generated when the relativistic jet interacts with the medium. Finally, we seek to study the implications on the modelling of the astrophysical observations of black hole shadows and relativistic jets.
