INTRHYGUE is part of a long-term effort to design robust templates for gravitational-wave astronomy with binary black holes, with an immediate focus on circular IMBBH and hyperbolic mergers. INTRHYGUE will fill an existing gap in binary black hole simulations by (1) providing error-controlled waveforms from circular intermediate-mass-ratio mergers, and (2) exploring dynamical encounters that are possible future sources for both ground-based and space-based observations.
